Mount Coolum Mountain Hike Sunshine Coast

The Beautiful National Park of Mt Coolum on the Sunshine Coast is well known for its unique mountain. It is believed that the Mountain on the east side was used by the Australian Naval Gunships during World War II as target practice.

Today Mount Coolum is surrounded by 69 hectares of protected national park lands and has a 800 m long walking track which leads you to the mountains summit.  The views from the top of the mountain are breathe taking to say the least. On a clear day you can see coastal views north as far as Noosa and views south as far as Caloundra. The mountain attracts over 110,000 visitors per year. If you are on the Sunshine Coast or looking to stay here for future holidays then this short 1.5 hour mountain climb is definitely worth adding to your list.
